School age
To enter our pre-kindergarten (K4) program, your child must be 4-years-old by September 30th. If you are applying for kindergarten (K5), your child must be 5-years-old by September 30th of the school year for which you are applying. testing
All students entering grades K5 and up will undergo an entrance assessment and other placement testing as required. The cost for this testing is included in the application fee. INTERVIEW
Once the school receives all the application forms, an interview will be scheduled as openings become available. The purpose of the interview is to ensure that: a) at least one parent expresses a clear testimony of Christian faith and is known and active in a Biblically-based local Christian church; b) the parents desire a Christian education for their child; and c) family beliefs and practices are consistent with the standards, statement of faith, and values of the school. Students entering 7th-12th grades will also be interviewed prior to admission and must be able to articulate and demonstrate faith in Jesus Christ. ACCEPTANCE
You will be notified by email upon acceptance of your child(ren) with detailed instructions for completing the online enrollment packet. Note: submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance to Summit and the application fee is non-refundable. wait pools
God has blessed Summit with increased interest and growing enrollment. Each grade level has a set capacity for the number of students due to space constraints and because we value smaller class sizes and close teacher-student relationships. Therefore, if the number of applications exceeds the number of available seats in class, we will begin a wait pool for qualified applicants. Wait pools are not prioritized waiting lists. Instead, qualified applications for a grade are compiled and, should an opening become available, reviewed collectively by the admissions committee to select the most mission-appropriate candidate. Summit reserves the right to place priority consideration for qualified applicants of staff and siblings. BEFORE & AFTER CARE
We offer Before & After School Care during the academic school year to students at our Grammar School campus. Weekly invoices are sent for those who use this service. There is no care available during school holidays and the summer.

school uniforms
Summit Christian Academy seeks to glorify God in all we do at school. One significant way is the decision to wear school uniforms. Beyond the immediate benefit of simplifying the morning routine of what to wear (as voiced by many of our Summit parents), there are intentional reasons we have chosen to implement school uniforms.
Phil 4:8-9 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. |
